With the gradual deepening of environmental problems and the increase in consumer awareness of environmental protection,many\nenterprises have already begun to pay attention to green supply chain management. However, the price of green products is higher\nthan that of nongreen products, which is an enormous challenge formany small- ormedium-sized enterprises. To study the pricing\nand coordination of green supply chains under capital constraints, a model consisting of a manufacturer and a capital-constrained\nretailer is established; the manufacturer invests in green products and provides a deferred payment contract. Setting the situation\nwithout capital constraints as a benchmark, this study explores the impact of the retailerâ??s capital constraints on the manufacturerâ??s\nproduct greenness design; an interesting result shows that deferred payment can help encourage the retailer to ordermore products\nand improve the profit of the manufacturer and the efficiency of the entire supply chain as well as the productâ??s greenness level\nsimultaneously. However, the profit of the retailer will be hurt by the deferred payment contract. Therefore, to guarantee the profit\nof the entire channel and to make the two agents obtain a win-win outcome, a new two-way revenue-sharing contract is designed\nto coordinate the green supply chain....
Export-led growth hypothesis (ELGH) claims that there is a positive relationship\nbetween exports and long-run economic growth. This research study\ntests the ELGH in the case of services exports analyzing annual time series data\nfrom 1984 to 2013 in Sri Lanka. The study employs Granger no-causality procedure\ndeveloped by Toda and Yamamoto in a vector auto regressive model\n(VAR) to identify the causality relationship between services exports and GDP.\nThe findings indicate that unidirectional causality is running from services exports\nto economic growth in Sri Lanka. Therefore, ELGH holds for services exports\nof Sri Lanka. The results are remained unchanged in the different lag\nstructures and order of integration. Hence, policies to encourage services exports\ncould be of an important driver of Sri Lankaâ??s long-run economic growth....
The study shows the effect of CPEC on supply chain integration, long term relationship of firms with suppliers\nand performance for the businesses operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The supply chain integration included the\nlogistics integration and information integration. The information integration further consists of use of information\ntechnology and information sharing. The firms selected for this study include pharmaceutical, hospitality, light\nengineering, energy and construction operating in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan....
Todayâ??s marketing competition focuses on the supply chain members to make\nits own interests maximize through cooperation. This article establishes a\nsimple secondary supply chain consisting of a retailer and a manufacturer.\nThrough the establishment of a Stackelberg game model and a partnership\ngame model, we study the decision of the member enterprises in the supply\nchain under the restriction of capacity. The research results show that if the\nproduction capacity is smaller, the manufacturer will choose full-load production.\nIf the production capacity is sufficient, the manufacturer will no longer\nproduce more products because its profit may be lost. The lack of production\ncapacity makes the manufacturer not take the initiative to share the advertising\ncosts of retailers. But when the capacity is sufficient, the manufacture\nshares 1/3 of advertising costs. In addition, whether manufacturers and retailers\nchoose to cooperate in the case of a small capacity, the profit of the supply\nchain will not change....
This study examines the influence of green supply chain practices towards environmental\ndevelopment. There has been an increasing interest among scholars concerning the influence of\ngreen supply chain practices towards environmental development in the manufacturing\nindustry due to its vast environmental effect and the rising pressure from consumers that\ncompanies should â??go greenâ??. A questionnaire was posted to 621 Malaysian ISO 14001 certified\nmanufacturing companies. A total of 146 usable questionnaires were received and the response\nrate was 23.51%. This study identified that green purchasing and eco-design has a positive\neffect towards environmental development. These findings provide significant proof of the\nrelationship between green supply chain practices and environmental development. Therefore,\nthe acceptance and application of green supply chain practices in manufacturing firms should be\nrequired, not merely based on moral grounds, but also the progressive performance outcomes\ncompaniesâ?? gain....
